Showing Some Skin During Montreal Spring

I’ve been waiting for it to warm up this April. I mean, there have been a few warm teaser days, but it is still very much a brisk Montreal spring.

By the end of May, when Montreal + Fashion Week rolls around, it will definitely (hopefully?) be feeling more summery, but until then, I’m not fighting the cooler temperatures. By the end of July, when it’s 30°C, humid, and my thighs have fused together from sweat, I’ll be looking back on today thinking I should have appreciated it more… So I may as well just enjoy it!

This gorgeous hi-low top with a plunging neckline from Point Zero Curvy Woman + is perfect for enjoying Montreal in the spring! I’ve paired it with some other pieces from their collection to create two fun, bold looks!

For a daytime ensemble, I simply tucked it into this grey knit skirt and topped it off with this cute, cozy cardigan!

It’s very vavavoom, with my black strapless bra peeping out, but when worn with a simple pair of printed flats, it keeps the sexiness of the outfit in check!

For a racier evening look, I took a risk and wore the top over a gorgeous handmade harness bra from HARNESSBRALOVE!

Lets just take a moment to appreciate the girls in this bra and deep V… Like, for real… Scroll as slowly as you like, won’t be mad!

I paired the seductive duo (the bra and too top, silly) with these fab PZ Curvy Woman + leggings, and faux-fur trimmed vest, and felt incredibly sexy and empowered!

A chic pair of black linen flats and a vintage clutch were ideal for a night out downtown!

Sure, I may still drool a little in anticipation of warm weather, when I see my blogger boos sitting poolside, basking in the glow of the wherever-they-are-that’s-obviously-warmer-than-here sun… But springtime in Montreal, complete with its cold breezes and chilly nights, is a beautiful thing because, furry vests, cardigans, and of course, my cleavage.

If you’re looking to enjoy all of what springtime in Montreal has to offer, be sure to get your tickets to Montreal + Fashion Week here (English) or here (French).

Point Zero Curvy – Weekend

When I’m not lounging all day in my PJs on weekends, I’m all about feeling comfy and looking stylish!

In this edition of my Point Zero Curvy series, where I’ve styled three looks, in three days, mixing and matching 5 different pieces from the line, I’m bringing you a weekend look!

Yesterday I brought you the perfect Point Zero Curvy work look, which included a fabulous faux-leather moto jacket, and today I’m showing how it can transition with ease into your casual weekend wardrobe.

I’ve paired it with the most gorgeous, black, shimmery pants, which marry the look of a structured jean with the comfort of of leggings…

And this amazing, slightly sheer, graphic tee, laced delicately with little flecks of sparkle.

I accessorized with cute, nude flats and gold jewelry.

Together, these three PZ Curvy pieces create an essentially monochromatic black-on-black look, but with a touch of colour, while blending three totally different textures for a really interesting, relaxed, yet very chic weekend look!

The Point Zero Curvy line is definitely worth ditching the PJs for, on a Saturday afternoon, and that’s not a claim that I make lightly, so you know I’m being honest!

Stay tuned tomorrow to see the final instalment in the Point Zero Curvy series, and to see which of the pieces from yesterday and today’s posts that I’ve reworked into the perfect date night look!

You can shop the Point Zero Curvy line at pointzero.ca or point-zero.com for international customers, as well as in store at retailers such as SexyPlus Clothing, in Mississauga, Ontario.

Point Zero Curvy – Work

When I was growing up, the options, as far as plus size clothing went, were still pretty limited.

Sure, there were a handful of department stores offering certain standard pieces in larger sizes, and there were some exclusively plus size shops too… But still, most clothing manufacturers weren’t branching out and taking risks for us fat fashionistas!

So, when I learned that Point Zero, an iconic Canadian brand that I grew up loving, had launched a curvy line, I was really intrigued and feeling some serious nostalgia for a brand that I admittedly, had lost touch with since 1999 (AKA the great expansion [of my hips], or “that time I became too XL for XL and stayed that way”).

I was lucky enough to be able to sample a few items from Point Zero Curvy, and over the next three days, I will be bringing you three mix and match looks, work, weekend, and date night, using five fab pieces from the collection!

Today, it’s all about workweek chic in this gorgeous knit skirt with faux leather trim, paired with the most beautifully embellished, knit top.

The quality of these pieces is weighty and luxurious, and the fit is total perfection.

The top, tucked in, with a great belt to cinch in the waist looks super polished and chic.

Tasteful flats keep things simple and balance the shorter hemline on my tall frame, keeping it work appropriate.

While modern accessories add some delicate sparkle and play off the beaded neckline flawlessly.

And for a little fun and edginess that’s perfect for fall, this amazing, faux-leather moto jacket to make sure that come the end of the day, I’ll be hitting the pavement in style!

Cinq-à-sept, anyone? Because I look too cute to be heading straight home!

Okay, so maybe I don’t actually work in an office, or do glamorous stuff like get together with coworkers for martinis before heading in for the evening, but I know a well put-together look when I see one, and these Point Zero Curvy pieces make it totally effortless!!!

Stay tuned tomorrow and Friday to see how I’ve reworked some of these pieces with new ones to create weekend and date night Point Zero Curvy looks!
