Point Zero Curvy – Work

When I was growing up, the options, as far as plus size clothing went, were still pretty limited.

Sure, there were a handful of department stores offering certain standard pieces in larger sizes, and there were some exclusively plus size shops too… But still, most clothing manufacturers weren’t branching out and taking risks for us fat fashionistas!

So, when I learned that Point Zero, an iconic Canadian brand that I grew up loving, had launched a curvy line, I was really intrigued and feeling some serious nostalgia for a brand that I admittedly, had lost touch with since 1999 (AKA the great expansion [of my hips], or “that time I became too XL for XL and stayed that way”).

I was lucky enough to be able to sample a few items from Point Zero Curvy, and over the next three days, I will be bringing you three mix and match looks, work, weekend, and date night, using five fab pieces from the collection!

Today, it’s all about workweek chic in this gorgeous knit skirt with faux leather trim, paired with the most beautifully embellished, knit top.

The quality of these pieces is weighty and luxurious, and the fit is total perfection.

The top, tucked in, with a great belt to cinch in the waist looks super polished and chic.

Tasteful flats keep things simple and balance the shorter hemline on my tall frame, keeping it work appropriate.

While modern accessories add some delicate sparkle and play off the beaded neckline flawlessly.

And for a little fun and edginess that’s perfect for fall, this amazing, faux-leather moto jacket to make sure that come the end of the day, I’ll be hitting the pavement in style!

Cinq-à-sept, anyone? Because I look too cute to be heading straight home!

Okay, so maybe I don’t actually work in an office, or do glamorous stuff like get together with coworkers for martinis before heading in for the evening, but I know a well put-together look when I see one, and these Point Zero Curvy pieces make it totally effortless!!!

Stay tuned tomorrow and Friday to see how I’ve reworked some of these pieces with new ones to create weekend and date night Point Zero Curvy looks!

Very cute outfit! As always – you’re rocking it! Question – what size are you wearing? Do you find Point Zero to be true to size or does it run small or large? I’m trying to get an idea what size I’ll want.

Thank you!!! I’m wearing a 3X, which is the largest size in the line. I wear anywhere from a 2X-4X usually, depending on cut, fabric, and brand, but I would say that it does fit true to size — it just isn’t extra roomy, so definitely don’t size down. I really like the fit, I think it hugs my curves just right, and there is some stretch to them (except for the jacket).

      Hope that helped! 😊💕
